First I tried out the Kindle version for my iPad and LOVED IT!!! The drawings are delightful and the deep colors fairly glow on each page. After reading the rhyming story through, I found myself mentally rhyming everything. It demonstrates the lovely side effect of reading verse! Now, on to the grands....
I just sent The St. Nicholas Yorkies to my 2 sets of grandkids (from 6 to 13 yrs.) for Christmas and can't wait till we can read it "together" via phone or Skype. They'll love seeing the "Yorkies' fierce brigade" and finding all the rascally cats. The story and the detailed illustrations will bear frequent repetition as a happy and colorful Christmas tradition!
